Last year I experimented with dry-hopping our loquat fruit beer and released it as the Single Barrel Reserve offering for our SJS family. I was very impressed with the results. But like everything I do, I felt I could improve upon that release in future offerings.
So this year I set about doing just that by dry-hopping Saison de Nefle Blend3 with 2lbs per barrel of Cashmere hops. Depending on your palate, look for aromas of lemon, lime, peach, melon, coconut, lemongrass, candy, and herbs all wrapped up with the loquats and barrel-aged beer.
This beer can't decide if it wants your cellar or your mouth more but will smile and tickle you whichever you lean.
We'll be packaging The Third Script in 750ml bottles with a cork and cage finish on May 26 and they will be available for pickup starting the following week.
Only 72 bottles will be produced and there will not be any available on draft.
